The Meal of Hope: A Christmas Gift of Hope to the Homeless

Join the Movement to Bring Joy and Dignity to Those Who Need it Most

As the world celebrates the festive season, thousands of homeless individuals in Uganda always spend Christmas alone, without a warm meal or a place to call their own. It's a heartbreaking reality that we think we, as a company, have had enough of and that we can't ignore.
At Young & Free International, we believe everyone deserves a chance to experience the joy and love of Christmas. That's why we're launching "The Meal of Hope," a global initiative to provide a Christmas feast to homeless individuals in Kampala, Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.

Why this matters!

During Christmas, many homeless people feel abandoned by the world. Not even Santa Claus visits them, to many, the day is as hopeless as every day as they continue to go through it without shelter, safety, or a warm meal to look forward to. Christmas should be different. It should be a day of love, connection, and hope, and that is why we are launching this initiative to make a difference starting this year 2025.
This mission is bigger than us, but together, it’s achievable. We call on the global community to support us with every donation they can as they join the movement. With your support, we aim to make this a yearly tradition of hope, love, and transformation.
We're releasing this initiative early to maximize our preparation time, receive as many donations as possible, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we'll serve that day. Our first venture will take place on Christmas Day, 2025 in the heart of Kampala, Uganda and we need every support we can get as early as possible for us to organize way ahead of the day.

The vision: A world where everyone has a place to belong

Our goal is to create a special day of love, care, and connection for those who need it most. We envision a world where everyone has a place to belong, and where the homeless are treated with dignity and respect.

What should our Homeless friends expect on this day?

  • Serving Three Full Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner for them to experience the joy of sharing a meal on Christmas Day.

  • Listening to and documenting their stories: Setting up a desk to hear and document their struggles, challenges, and dreams and most importantly understand the genesis of their homelessness.

  • Providing Free Medical Care: Offering medical check-ups and treatment to address their immediate health needs.

  • Offering Guidance and Counselling: Helping those who need emotional support and direction to rebuild their lives.

#Our Ultimate Goal

Our long-term vision is to establish Uganda's first dedicated home for the homeless, a safe haven to help them transition into stable, independent lives. We hope to extend this initiative to other parts of the country and the world where such systems are lacking.

Here is how you can help

As we stated earlier, this mission is bigger than us, but together, it’s achievable. Every donation counts and no amount is too small.
Your contributions will help us:
•    Feed hundreds of homeless individuals for an entire day.
•    Provide medical supplies and treatment.
•    Offer counseling and emotional support.
•    Build the foundation for our long-term goal of a homeless shelter.

We can't do this alone. We need your support to make this vision a reality. Here's  how you can help:

  1. Donate: Every dollar counts. Your donation will help us provide meals, medical care, and counseling services to homeless individuals.

  2. Volunteer: Join us on December 25th, 2025, to serve meals, provide medical care, and offer companionship to our homeless friends.

  3. Spread the Word: Share our story with your friends, family, and social networks. Let's create a wave of kindness and compassion that inspires others to join our cause.

Our appeal of gratitude!

It is more than just a meal to them. It is HOPE.
